Practicum #5
So i have continued my never-ending search for what senior citizens may be doing on the internet. I have come across many websites that require you to pay to join. Part of me feels like these sites could be exploiting senior citizens lack of internet knowledge and just taking their money. One website claims to "teach senior citizens to use the internet," however if they made it to the website on their own, wouldn't they already know how to use it? However thats not all that i am covering today. There are plenty of free sources that can do the same thing. For example, seniorcitizenjournal.com. They have subcategories such as health & fitness, recreation, senior finances, senior lifestyle, senior travel and social security & medicare. It seems like most websites for senior citizens cover the same things, basically how to cope with aging, and new ideas for the lifestyle one must adopt when they are in their "golden years". For example some of this websites options under health cover alzheimers, anti-aging issues and products, and the like. These websites seem to be focused not only on senior citizen, but also for those who need to take care of senior citizens.
