Plants Vs. Zombies

I enjoyed this game because it wasn't hard to figure out at all. I'm not really a big gamer, the most I do is play Spider Solitaire or the occasional (as in once every 6 months) game of Sims 2. Many people have been commenting on how mindless the game is, which is why they found it boring or not addicting. I think the fact that the game is so mindless is exactly why it's so addicting. I feel as if most people play games to escape from extremely engaging responsibilities and activities like taking lecture notes or doing homework. Plants Vs. Zombies provides an escape for the player, as mindless as daydreaming in class or spacing out while doing homework, only slightly more engaging and more fun. It sort of reminded me of one of my favorite Neopets games I used to play. I can't remember what the name was, but it involved shooting scoops of ice cream and catching flying objects that dropped down. That game was just as easy to figure and just as mindlessly fun to play. I thought the premise of the game was hilarious. I mean, the name itself pretty much sums it up. But seriously, plants versus zombies? I also enjoyed the back ground music. The simple rules of the game, combined with its aesthetics, provided exactly the right elements for an addicting game.
