Practicum Post 2- Dan Tochen

I am still trying to get a grasp on this whole senior citizens using the internet thing, however ive done more research. There are websites specifically for seniors. One i spent time looking at is http://modernsenior.net/, "a friendly website for adults over 50." This particular website contains many different things that senior citizens may want to do on the internet all one on website. They offer games and puzzles, news, online shopping stores/ coupon codes. They also have links to websites that give medical advice. There are also tips on "How to stay young at heart."

Basically what i have been able to take away from looking at this website is the designers want to make the website as basic and user friendly as possible. The links are very big and thick, there are pictures next to each category to make it clear which one they should be clicking. Senior citizens are often new to computers and intimidated by them, however this website makes it very easy to do most things online that they may want to do.
