Practicum #3 Reddit

As I've surfed around on Reddit for several weeks, I've definitely gained a better understanding of the site. I've picked up on the the reoccurring language and memes. By better understanding these, It best helps me understand a lot of the humor of most of the posts. I've made one post myself. It was a picture I thought was funny, but it didn't get many views. Beyond the main forums at the top of each page, their are subforums within the main forums, and forums for almost anything you want to talk about such as Wisconsin or even Madison. Most of the posts on these forums are about the ongoing union struggles within the state congress. These posts are either people giving their opinions on the issues on either side or people just posting news articles or related videos. I've found Reddit to be a good news source and I heard about the earthquakes in Japan before any other online news source that I normally use posted anything. An American with relatives in Japan posted news of the earthquakes late at night. Reddit's dynamism really impresses me as I can get entertainment, news, and education all in one place.
