Over the past week I have spent a few hours working on my personal home page. I have mostly been trying to promote my site and get others to view it. I invited contacts from address book to become members of my site via email. I put my URL on my Facebook so anyone who looks at my information can directly access my home page. I added my URL to Google, which is extremely simple (see picture) so I can be searched for. I activated a tool called "Clicky", which tells you your website statistics: how many people are viewing it, what they're looking at, which links are most popular, etc. I added my home page to my Koda profile so prospective employers can have direct access to it (and thus my resume). I also requested to join an entertainment ring via webs.com. Rings connect you with other sites that have similar themes. I chose an entertainment ring because it focuses on televison, movies, etc. and I am majoring in Communication Arts with a concentration in Radio, TV, and Film. Basically by joining a ring, your site gets linked to other sites so you can get more viewers. The other picture is my interests page.
