Blog #4- Google

There are a lot of Taylor Wagners in this world, and I seem to be one of the least important, at least according to Google. The first result was for a music artist named Taylor Wagner (I listened to her music, wasn't super impressed) the second was for a Facebook account for yet another Taylor Wagner. After 2 Myspace accounts and another band website, I finally appeared 6th on the page for my LinkedIn account. The next link was for Taylor Wagner twitter, but it wasn't me (and it wasn't the other Taylors, so that brings us to 6 so far). Searching Google images yielded no results, nor did videos.

I think some of my lack-of-Googleability is deliberate. For instance, I know my facebook is set for the most private setting so I'm barely detectable. As I'm searching for jobs, I'd rather not have my facebook page come up as item number one on a Taylor Wagner search. On the other hand, its definitely a plus that the first detectable sign of my life is on LinkedIn, where I appear to be pretty professional, kind of.
