On YouTube, I watched the newest Britney music video. Since YouTube has a lot more user content, its obviously a less polished site. It also uses advertisements before a lot of the videos, which I imagine is necessary to make a profit. In general, I prefer Hulu more because its more applicable to my interests, however there are benefits and uses for both.

You Tube and Hulu
I generally use Hulu to catch up on show's I forgot to DVR, which is pretty frequently, at least 2-3 times p week. I use You Tube pretty much for the sole purpose of watching a viral video or a music video. I almost never actually go to youtube.com, I only get directed there after seeing a video on facebook or some other website. This week, I watched an episode of The League on Hulu. Ford Focus sponsored the video and I had the option of watching a long ad at the beginning, or watching shorter ads throughout the video, like commercial breaks. I chose the longer ad at the beginning and I really like that they offer this option. On Hulu, I've also noticed they are charging for some videos. Generally, the most recent 4 or 5 videos are offered free of charge, but then any previous episodes are only available through Hulu Plus. Its kind of a bummer, but I understand why they had to do it. Now that full seasons are available through Netflix, Hulu had to compete in some way.
