Practicum #6-KelseyK

I've been using the scrobbler everyday since I downloaded it! Though it makes things simpler, the one thing that I don't like is that you can only listen to the playlists you create on Last.fm's actual website. There's really not much more to say about the scrobbler. I've check out everything it has to offer, and I think I've learned everything I can (and I suppose that's what makes it so great). I decided to see if there's anything I hadn't thoroughly explored on Last.fm's site. I believe I mentioned in my presentation awhile ago that I noticed some nasty talk on a few groups' pages so I checked out the "Community Guidelines" page. They were typical of any online community (an example of what they expect pictured below).
Though since I have been a member of Last.fm for the last few months and didn't see it until now, I can't imagine too many other members take the time to check it out - they just say what they want. I was surprised to see was that users - seemingly similar to myself (meaning the average Last.fm user) - are moderators of the site. I don't think they do too thorough a job, as some hadn't been seen on the site since last Wednesday, but I suppose Last.fm needs to make some sort of effort (or at least provide the facade that they are trying) to keep their site a friendly place.
