Since I have checkedin nearly every place in Madison I figure I try to accomplish being mayor of a location. I check into College Library most frequently, but so do a lot of people, making it difficult to become mayor. I have been checking in to College Library a lot and FourSquare keeps telling me I am close to being mayor; however, I have to accomplish this goal.
In the meantime, I did get a prize from FourSquare at College Library. Since I checked in at a certain time at night, I got a prize from FourSqaure. All I had to do was walk up to circulation desk and show them my check in. Although the prize was nothing important, it was still cool to redeem something out of this project.
As our practicum comes to an end I can confidently say I will probably stop using FourSquare. I already use it less frequently then I did at the beginning of the semester. This is probably because I got bored checking in to the same places and it is difficult to remember to check in.
Good luck in becoming mayor!
ReplyDeleteIt is very interesting how many people actually use FourSquare to actually check into College Library. I guess people want others to know they are there so they can come and distract them from doing their work. To me FourSquare is more a less a stalking device, I personally would not want everyone to know where I am all the time. But I guess to each their own.
