In my first blog post, I described the nature of Kongrgate and its purpose. It is mainly used for playing distracting games, much like Addictinggames.com. I went more in depth in my research of the website for this post. There are numerous multi-player games that users can play and interact with other users. These games seem to be popular among the registered, regular users. In addition, I explored the forum portion of the site. There are many topics that can be discussed. Most of the topics pertained to gaming and their experiences on the site. However, there is a section titled "Serious Discussion Forum" where users can discuss anything from politics to religion to anything that they deem "serious". There are also forums that discuss the arts and numerous other things. Each of these forums follow behavior guidelines and try to control obscenity. Almost every topic is seen or posted on quite regularly. The users go beyond the distractions and fun of the games, and do quite a bit of interacting through these boards or through the multiplayer games.
