Blog #6: Youtube and Hulu

Oh Youtube and Hulu.... two places that provide many opportunities for entertainment and procrastination. For this post I watched The Hangover 2 trailer in both places to compare. Let's start with Youtube. The problem with using this site to watch the trailer is there were many other videos - already people posted their own parodys and videos with the name "The Hangover 2 trailer." Even one of the featured videos was a strange teen talking about how he was excited for the movie. One nice thing about Youtube is you can watch a lot of shows, clips and music videos for free and without commercials. The quality ranges from very poor to pretty good so you never know what you're going to get. Hulu is much nicer and more organized than Youtube. They ONLY have content from real shows or movies - no personal videos! Which is nice when you don't care to watch movie reviews from 18 year-old boys. Hulu has a clean look, with easy navigation. The drawback? There is commercials on EVERYTHING. Even a short trailer! The quality is worth it though, especially when you can watch full-length movies in HD. They have most of the Lifetime Movies on Hulu, it's awesome.
