After playing this game for a while, I can definitely see why it can bring in more casual users. The humor and silly premise definitely make it easy for most people to relate to it. Also, the game really eases you into its mechanics. The first levels that introduce you to different mechanics and plants, such as how sunflowers and sunlight work, seem to make it easier for people who are not big gamers by giving them a chance to get a hang of how everything works.
Also, I think that the sense of progression found in this game really pulls you in. Beyond the sense of accomplishment you get from completing a level and moving forward, there is also a real addictive nature to gaining different types of flowers and seeds and being able to try out different strategies with these. I can see how the sense of progression, and also the different types of strategies you can create with the different plants and seeds, can pull in both casual and more experienced gamers alike. In the end though, I did not find the game overly challenging, and so for me it was this sense of progression that really pulled me in and kept me playing.
