Blog #4 - Google

I hadn't Googled myself in a while, so I guess it was about time that I checked in on what I could find about myself. There isn't much about me on there that can be found. It was a little disappointing that the first two results for "Paul Puglisi" were about a man who has done some not-so-nice things involving children in New Jersey. Granted this has nothing to do with me, but it's still weird to know that these are things that pop up when my name is searched.

The security settings on my Facebook are pretty strict, so nothing really popped up from my Facebook. I don't have a Twitter account, so nothing from there came up. The online result particularly pertaining to me was my Vimeo account; I found that on the second page of results.

What I thought was pretty funny/weird/creepy though was when I clicked on the image results. The third picture that came up was a picture of me and a friend from a high school dance from my freshman year. It was posted on a picture-uploading site called Webshots, which is a division of American Greetings. It was uploaded by a girl that I never even talked to in high school; I was completely unaware this picture existed.

It seems as though I have covered my tracks on the Internet pretty well. I have managed my reputation somewhat effectively. I guess I can apply for jobs and other things without too much worry.
