Practicume Post 1

Before this class assignment the only popular wiki I have really hard about was Wikipedia. I have never really actively participated in Wikipedia, besides using it as reference for information (not scholarly, as we are all told repeatedly). Other wikis I have used have been for class. These class wikis have essentially been used in the same we use this blog for class. For me, the class wikis are more complicated and I never really got the point of them. And, then, searching for wikis for this class I stumbled upon the Harry Potter Wiki. This is seriously something I can get in to. While desperately waiting for the final installment of the movies, and for Rowling to publish her Harry Potter encyclopedia, I have found my Potter-fix.
