Practicum #4- Taylor Wagner
Since giving my presentation about a week ago, I have gained 10 new followers to my twitter account-hooray! This has been done mostly by stalking my friends' followers and seeing if they follow anyone I know and then subsequently following our mutual friends. This then leads to these friends, in turn, following me. I'm still working on setting up my Facebook and Twitter synch so my tweets become facebook statuses but I'm moving along rather slowly, mostly because I don't want to be 'that girl' who has 5 facebook statuses a day. There's definitely 'too much of a good thing' when it comes to social networking. I like tweeting and keeping up with various friends and celebrities, but I also don't like when certain people I follow feel the need to spam my homepage with 20 tweets in an hour.

I just made myself a Twitter. However, at this moment I am only following people. I don't really have much to say now and never appreciate those Facebook statuses that don't say anything besides giving me an update on where that person is.. no one cares, right? Maybe, eventually, I will get more addicted to Twitter and feel like I do have something to say.
ReplyDeleteI recently opened my twitter account as well, but to be honest, I haven't really gotten the hang of it. I started following news and famous people, since most of friends are not really into it either. I found overwhelming having a new thing every 10 minutes. I know the point is to keep updated, but at the same time is too much of mass information coming at the time. I like the fact that somehow you get to interact more with famous people more often, but I'm still more inclined to facebook at this point.
