This week I created my first FourSquare account. I have seen some friends with FourSquare have their location pop up on my facebook newsfeed and always thought it was strange to have people know of my whereabouts. However, I want to see what all the fuss is about, as I see more and more people join the FourSquare community. My initial to reaction to FourSquare is that it is MUCH more than just a location service. It allows you to see what people are tweeting about your location, it has suggestions and lets you know if any of your friends are nearby. For example, I checked into the Union and it has a list of suggestions of things to do - like drink beer on the terrace during the summer. I am definitely excited to use FourSquare throughout the semester and find out all that it has to offer. Plus, I have already made some friends.
