Chat Roulette

Chat Roulette to me is this crazy social experiment. I was first introduced to it by some friends after hearing about through various media sources. It had gained popularity because some celebrities were using it and that gave it great exposure. Wondering if a celebrity was going to pop up on your screen when you hit the next button was exciting. But after the first time using it with a bunch of friends we soon discovered rather than stumble upon a celebrity we stumbled upon a lot of middle aged men exposing themselves. While we were looking for celebrities they were clearly looking for something else. Another time that I used chat roulette my friends and I used it as a source of entertainment so we could pull an all nighter to catch our flight from London to Rome the next morning. It did prove to be very entertaining. We thought we saw Jessica Alba only to have the image of her change two minutes later as we realized we had been duped. We also thought it was fun to see what we could get others to do. As far as being serious I think this site is definitely a joke. Yes it can prove to be entertaining at times but really it is just kind of plain creepy. It would be interesting if there were more normal people on the site rather than men exposing themselves so essentially you could meet anyone in the world. But I think chat roulette now has lost its initial excitement and the likelihood of not seeing an exposed male on the site anymore is slim.
