Blog 3 - Chat Roulette

This was the first time I have ever used chat roulette. I sort of knew how it worked because my roommate used it a lot last year. I however found it a little superficial and weird. For those who have never used the site you create a profile to video chat with people but if you see someone you don't think you will want to chat with you simply hit next. To me the who system seemed like something to lower others self esteem with. You see someone you like the look of and you chat but if you don't like the way they look then you simply click next.

Another issue if found while using chat roulette was that people would insert pornographic pictures instead of using their own camera so for those un-expecting users who got them on their chat screen, they would have to stare down and unsettling picture or video. Overall chat roulette seems like a good idea in principle but doesn't seem to work the way that it should.
