Practicum #5 - Paul Puglisi

I've forgotten to mention a very important part of Kongregate in my past posts - the ability to create and upload games. I'm not very good at programming or creating any type of software, so this did not really appeal to me all that much. But I can see how it would appeal to people who are into that sort of thing. The cool thing about Kongregate is that the highest rated and most played user-generated games can earn the creator a monetary prize. The best game monthly wins $1500. There are tutorials on the website for creating games, so that "anybody" can do it. I went through the tutorials and downloaded the necessary programs to upload my own flash game. Needless to say, the tutorials were not enough for me to create a functioning game. I don't necessarily blame the instructions, I'm just really bad at stuff like that. I've included a screenshot of one of the tutorial pages. It is very descriptive. I thought I had done everything right, but I think it may have something to do with my operating system. Who knows? I think this is a really cool feature of the site and that it makes it unique to similar sites.
