I was on the DailyStrength Vegan and Vegetarian support group website observing how fast the comments were being posted. I found that on one thread there were three comments within an hour of eachother and then a few more the next day. It surprised me the fast response that a woman got to her quesiton about veganism and pregnancy. While I find many blog responses happen within a couple days of posting, I thought that this thread was exceptionally fast. This shows that this is a very popular site/support group and that others in the group are truly there for others to give advice.
On another note, I was looking at the ads on the site and I found that they were specific for the support group's issues, just like Facebook's adverstisments. I frequently find advertisments for PETA, which are always different. The most recent one I found was for a PETA t-shirt that says McCruelity with the McDonalds M. I think it is interesting that the advertisments are specific towards the audience. I know it is a great way to make your advertisments useful, I mean why preach to an audience that has NO interest in buying your product/idea.
I think its really interesting and neat how people post questions and others answers the questions. However, the one thing that popped into my mind, was just the question of are people's answers correct or did it maybe work as a one time thing for them? If I were to look for advice on a blog, I think because of being me, I would check multiple blogs and ask multiple questions. People may find that to be extremely annoying but I would want to make sure I am getting the best advice possible. It may make it seem like I am opposed to people giving out advice on blogs, which is incorrect, I would just make sure to at least triple check the advice!
