Blog #7 Computerized Interactions

The two main things I used today were my computer and my iPhone. I used the alarm on my iPhone to wake up in the morning, and also periodically used my iPhone throughout the day to check emails, Facebook, Twitter, Words With Friends, etc. Throughout the day I used my computer for taking notes during lectures, but I also used it for checking news, Facebook, Twitter, emails, and other distractions in between classes.

After the lecture for this class I stopped by the ATM to check my balance, and then I had to drive to work. While I used a digital interface to adjust my car's A/C on the way to work, I didn't actually have any computerized interactions at work (where I'm basically a telemarketer) because I still don't have access set up for the computer database in the office. I only used a simple landline phone and physical paper packets of information when working. Today I actually noticed how much more organized my job would be if I had access to the computerized database because the paper copies I use were not up to date on client information and this led to some problems and unsatisfied customers on a few phone calls I had to make; if I had access to the computer database I would have had the more organized, up-to-date information.

After work I used my iPhone to listen to Pandora internet radio while exercising at the SERF, and then later at night used it again to check channel listings on a TV Guide app to find something to watch on TV while I sent some emails on my computer. Finally after all of this, I used my computer to type this blog post.
