I think this video does a good job of describing how we got to todays internet. The clip starts with how we use the internet today and then looks back in time to see how and through what ways we got to this modern internet we use today. The clip does a good job of describing why there are multiple types of networks, and different types of waves that are used in case of missile fire. The term internet was born because of the communication aspect of the french network cyclades. Eventually phone providers caught on and used their technologies to offer access to the internet for a monthly fee. I had always known the internet did not just appear, but i did not know how extensive the developments had been in only 50 years of its existence.
